A mini sanitary napkin producing unit was installed in the project village Fulpada supported by BASAID, Switzerland during the year 2018-19. Two days training program was organized at the centre through the technical support of Rag Innovation, Gwalior. Initially 7 Women SHG members learned the making of sanitary pads by operating the semi-automatic machine.
Swachha sanitary napkin pads are produced at the CDS production centre by the trained WSHG members and after required manual works are finally packed after UV sterilization. Initially sample packets were distributed to adolescent girls and reproductive age group women in the locality for field trial and feedback. After that produced packets these are used for the various awareness activities organized by the organization at the school and anganwadi centres along with the leaflets developed.
